Organization and Fields of Practice

SCHEMA maintains two basic operational objectives:

  • To observe the highest standards in its professional services; and
  • To achieve maximum operational efficiency.

To ensure that these two objectives are achieved, operational management is broken down into two distinct responsibility centers, each headed by a member of the management team:

  • Technical Services; and
  • Non-Technical Services.

Technical Services required for planning, detailed architectural and engineering design, and construction management are covered in the following departments supervised by a Company Principal:

  • Architecture
  • Civil Works, Geotechnics, and Geodesy
  • Construction Management and Supervision
  • Cost and Specifications
  • Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering
  • Infrastructure and Environmental Planning
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Structural Engineering
  • Water Supply and Sanitary Engineering

Whenever necessary, the above force is augmented by the supplementary services of outside consultants and specialists who serve as associate experts in the numerous allied disciplines and/or sub-disciplines.

Non-Technical Services involved in planning and market development, personnel administration and staff development, marketing and finance consist of the following departments managed by a Company Principal or Associate:

  • Business Development
  • Accounting/Finance
  • Administrative/Human Resources Development
